My mission is to create timeless memories

“If you remember me, then I don’t care if everyone else forgets.”
― Haruki Murakami

Kind words from clients

"Andrea exceeded our expectations. Despite our complete inability to pose in front of a lens, he was able to put us at ease and documented our marriage while remaining invisible, but without missing a single moment. The final result left us ecstatic; every time we browse the shots we relieve the emotions of that day. Every shot is unique, modern, natural and full of raw emotions."

Why weddings

I love people and the unexpected

The main reason why I chose to be a wedding photographer is that I love people and their ability to surprise me.

Even after dozens of shoots, people always find a way to throw something unexpected in the mix. Each wedding is a unique experience.

A wedding is also one of the most demanding challenges a photographer can face: it requires an understanding of many different techniques, as well as the ability to put them to work confidently and swiftly when necessary.

Shooting a wedding is both a great responsibility and an extremely rewarding endeavor.

My style

How I shoot and why

I take a documentary approach to weddings—I let things happen as spontaneously as possible whenever I can.

Only for couple portraits, or in those moments when I feel it is absolutely necessary, I provide a few more prompts.

I enjoy being close to the people I am photographing and I am not afraid to join the fray when required, for example during dances.

What I am looking for

Real, raw, unadulterated moments

My main focus is telling the story of your wedding through its most memorable moments. At the same time, though, I also love to record any tiny story I come in contact with throughout the day.

Powerful emotions (tears, joy, laughter) are certainly the ones I am most drawn to, but my eyes are also instinctively attracted to more unusual situations that randomly pique my interest.

Most of these small side stories will probably not end up in your wedding album, but that does not mean that they are not worth being told.

Frequently Asked Questions

How would you describe your style?

I take a documentary approach to weddings; I let things happen as spontaneously as possible whenever I can.
When necessary, for example during couple portraits, I provide a few more prompts without going overboard.

How long have you been working as a photographer?

I started working as a professional photographer in 2009.
Since 2013, I focus almost exclusively on wedding and lifestyle photography.

Do you shoot more than one wedding on the same day?

No, I would not be able to fully concentrate on my work.
To me, the wedding day begins when I wake up and is over when I go to sleep: between those two moments, I want to focus my attention on just one couple.

Do you speak Swiss German, or at least German?

Long story short: nein.
But I am studying it, so ask me again in a couple of years!

How many pictures will you take at our wedding? And how many will you deliver to us?

On average, I deliver between 500 and 1000 files per shoot.

Do you deliver the original files?

I deliver all viable pictures in JPG format and in very high resolution, perfectly adequate for any print job, including very large formats.

Will the pictures be edited?

All the pictures you will receive will be adjusted for contrast and color rendering.
I prefer not to over-edit my pictures—my goal is always to bring the best out of every shot without betraying its nature.

When can I expect to receive all the edited images?

About one month after the wedding.
During peak season, delivery times may be longer.

What kind of system do you use to deliver the first selection of pictures after the wedding?

You will have access to a private online area where you can view, select and download your pictures.

Can you deliver files only?

Yes, that is not a problem.
I wouldn't recommend it though: photographs become real only when printed.

What kinds of photo albums do you provide?

I offer traditional albums, photo books and matted photo albums, made and bound by hand. I also provide display cases and boxes for prints.
I personally take care of the whole design process for every single album. For photo books, I prefer a clean, minimalistic presentation with a white background.

Do you charge extra for travel?

I ask a reimbursement for travel expenses for jobs more then 100 km away from Zug.
I also charge for an overnight stay when absolutely needed or recommended the night before your wedding.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes! I take my work very seriously.
In addition to having backup equipment, I also have a backup plan in place for all the steps of my workflow.

What happens if you get sick?

In case I am unable to fulfill my obligations, I am part of a vast network of professionals that I trust completely to step in and take over for me.
Even at a very short notice.

How much deposit is required to hold a date?

Upon signing the contract, a deposit of 20% is required to book the date of your wedding.

We would like to take some time to consider before we book a date. Is that possible?

Of course—just be aware that I am unable to "reserve" a date before a contract is signed.
If another couple inquires for the same date, I will unfortunately have to consider it as available.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a lifestyle photography session last on average? How does it work?

About a couple of hours.
The goal is to relax, have fun and get a good mix of candid and formal shots.

Can you recommend locations for our pictures?

I can certainly offer suggestions based on the feeling you want your pictures to have, but I personally believe that the location for a photo shoot is not just a simple "backdrop" for you to pose in front of.
It is important that the place we select reflects you and your personality, and most of all, that you feel comfortable in it.

What is your booking policy?

In order to book a date and a time for a session, a non-refundable deposit of 100 CHF is required.
